For the first time in Spain, Yahad-In Unum’s “Roma Memory” exhibit, which presents the genocide of the Roma people through Yahad’s original research, is on display at the iconic Paula de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia. The exhibit’s inauguration was preceded by a training session for 12 teachers from CEFIRE de Valencia, led by Yahad Research Director Patrice Bensimon, on the Roma genocide. The inauguration itself featured a speech by our Deputy Director Emmanuel Cortey and gave invitees the opportunity to discover the exhibition with Yahad staff on hand. Additionally, Juan de Dios Ramirez Heredia, Founder and Vice President of International Union Romani closed the ceremony with a rousing discourse. Our thanks to the CEFIRE de Valencia and to the Conselleria de Educación, Investigación, Cultura y Deporte, who worked with us in partnership to present this exhibition. The exhibit is free and will be on display for the public until June 23.
