About Yahad-in Unum

YAHAD-IN UNUM has been founded in January 2004 by Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger (who was archbishop of Paris at that time) and Rabbi Israël Singer (chairman of the World Jewish Congress in those days) among others.

Symbolizing the ambition of the project, the association takes name YAHAD-IN UNUM, “ YAHAD ” and “ IN UNUM ” both meaning ” together ” in hebrew and in latin.

Among other activities, Yahad In Unum organizes meetings between Catholic bishops ans Jewish orthodoxy leaders in New York since 2004.

The project exposed in that website is about Yahad In Unum localizing the mass graves of the Jewish victims of the Einsatzgruppen and video-recording the witnesses who attended the massacres. To date, Yahad In Unum Yahad - In Unum has discovered more than 800 mass graves of Jewish Holocaust victims and recorded almost 800 eye-witness testimonies.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yahad In Unum concluded an academic patnership with University Sorbonne-Paris IV, Mémorial de la Shoah, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and is supported by Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah, European Commission, Victor Pinchuk Foundation, Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics and Targum Shlishi.
