For the very first time, Yahad – In Unum presented its exhibit in the city with the largest indigenous community in Guatemala. The opening took place on August 24 and was attended by Mayor of Santa Cruz del Quiché Francisco Pérez. The opening was followed by a training for teachers and visits of all the public schools of the area, in partnership with the Ministry of Education. The exhibit’s display period (August 24- September 18) in Quiché was significant as Quiché is home to a large indigenous population and a community that has lived through recent violence and warfare.

Guided visits took place in both Spanish and the Quiché language.
